Judo Matsu is owned and operated by Sensei Oren Janiv.
Oren has studied and competed in Judo for over 19 years. During this time he became a Australian representative en-route to qualify for the Rio Olympics. Through this tenacious goal, Oren travelled the world in search of the best in the sport – whether it be in search of bettering his own Judo techniques from world class coaches; to developing his fighting spirit by competing in the world’s top competitions.
Oren did not qualify for Rio, but his epic journey provided him with unique experiences and was lucky enough to experience Judo at its finest and formed a exceptional base of knowledge and true love for the art of Judo.
Oren is also a passionate and experienced teacher, and has been coaching kids and adults Judo for many years. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Health & Physical Education, alongside a Diploma of Fitness. Oren has worked as a High School Teacher and Personal Trainer where he leverages his knowledge and experience to help people rediscover motivation, a strong work ethic, and a healthy lifestyle.

St Peters
St Peters is a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 7 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Inner West Council.
St Peters was named by its association with St Peters Anglican Church, which was consecrated in 1838. St Peters is the third oldest Anglican church in Sydney and has been claimed to be the first church built in Australia using non-convict labour.
